“When greed and envy speak louder, when men become greedy for power and no longer respect each other, this harmony and plenty will come to an end. The waters will dry up, the fire will burn, the soil will become poor and these palm trees will no longer produce.”

Mauarí's curse is starting to come true, endangering the majestic palm tree groves. These palm trees are a gift from the god Tupã, and provided the Tapuias with many blessings such as food and resources for their shelters. In spite of Mauarí's evil omen, Tupã believed that there will always be men of good heart who would protect nature. To help and protect these good men, he entrusted the entity Master Buriti to defend the palm trees with his powerful magic and maintain the village's prosperity.
